Buttery soft!! 🥰
This is one of my favorite CD purchases!! I own many merino wool sweaters and this is my first baby alpaca sweater. I am in awe of how buttery soft it is and I feel zero itch! It is also thick and has the most beautiful print and mix of colors- it gives me Beauty and the Beast vibes, especially because of the roses. It’s super cozy and very comfortable. I normally wear a size XS but went with Small because my size was sold out. It’s slightly big on me, especially in the sleeve length, but I am only 5’1 and small proportioned. I love it nonetheless and know I will get years of wear out of it! The last picture shows the tan color of the sweater best.
Beautiful but scratchy to touch and against skin
This is such a beautiful sweater, such a unique collar, fit and pattern. I was eyeing it for months but because of the high cost waited for the sale and asked my husband for it for Christmas. I have to say I’m disappointed in how scratchy it is. I have the CD Jane sweater (which I wear constantly) and it is unbelievably soft and I thought it was going to be the same since both are made with baby alpaca but I guess the weave makes the Richard more rough and itchy. It reminds me of sheep's wool, which I can no longer tolerate to wear sadly. I debated returning it, but I think it will be OK with thick shirts underneath. I probably won’t be wearing it as much as I hoped, maybe for special occasions though I did read washing it might help, we’ll see. So if you can’t tolerate itchy sweaters, avoid this one.
Lovely
A lovely cardigan. The take on a fair isle style is chic and the oversized collar is reminiscent of vintage knits. The wool is not too itchy and the silhouette is super cute. I’m typically between an extra small and small and went with a small. I probably could have sized down, but the small is comfortable and cozy. I was worried the oak color would be too warm, but I actually like it. Overall, I’m super happy with this sweater.
