I finally ordered the square maryjanes in black. I like that they’re textured, it makes them a bit more interesting than the regular smooth ones. The strap is pretty thin but it’s stretchy. I hope it doesn’t lose elasticity or break because it’s what makes the shoe. I’m typically a 7, though I do have the casual clogs in 6.5. They seemed big when I first tried them on, but I wore them out on a really hot day when my feet were swollen and they felt perfect. I read that people find them narrow, but I actually feel they’re a bit wide. And I’ve never worn or been recommended to wear narrow shoes. Take what you will from that statement. That said, I recommend them based on cuteness and comfort. I didn’t walk very far in them so I’ll update if they give me blisters but it doesn’t seem likely. If they weren’t so expensive I’d buy them in another color too.
