I’d been eyeing these boots
I’d been eyeing these boots for over a year now and scooped them up while on sale for Black Friday. I would say, if you are short (I’m 5’2”), maybe go for a wider-calf than you may otherwise. I was between the normal and wide-calf based on the size chart (which is crazy because I am always a wide-calf), but per recommendations I chose the wide-calf. Because the calf was looser on me, the shaft being too tall wasn’t an issue and didn’t squish my knees, like other girls who reviewed the boot. If you want a tighter-to-the-calf look and are short, you should unfortunately probably skip these, but otherwise I was able to make it work, even if not ideal (hence the 4 stars). The heel height wasn’t too tall, which made it pretty comfortable to walk in, and I would say they were true to size (but I sized up a half size to be able to wear thicker socks with them, and would recommend doing so. Nothing is worse than a boot that is tight across the top of the foot).
