Pretty decent option for running
I use this to run with my 45lb cattle dogs. I got this version after the plastic clip broke on the older discontinued model. pros: - Ruffwear stands by their products and will make it right if something goes wrong - Materials seem ok. - Bigger zipper compartments to store things. I enjoy putting my phone in there so it doesn't bounce around - The straps are very adjustable and have velcro to secure the extra belt. Cons: - This one does not stay where it should like the previous model. Maybe I just need to adjust but seems to slide up my body much more. If I can't fix this I will probably find an alternative - There isn't a good spot for poo bags. I just throw them in a zipper but having a built in dispenser would be a game changer. The Mid: - The material on this is like a stretchy nylon which was unexpected. I liked the ripstop nylon on the old model a bit better. The new material still feels solid but different. TL:DR: This is a well build product that Ruffwear will stand by. There are a few improvements like a poo bag dispenser would be nice. The biggest issue is it doesn't stay on my hips which is where it should be. That could be a fit issue though.
A bit more flimsy than I expected
Good belt, but with a 75 lb. puppy who is not yet completely leash trained and a 70 yr old owner, I was hoping for a heavier duty belt.
Supportive running belt.
I use this with the Ruffwear running leash and it's a perfect combo. The belt has good lumbar support so I don't feel like I'm getting pulled when my pup sees a squirrel and needs to run a little faster!
