Works fine with Gen 5 Wheel
After several years of hard use, the base broke on our older Gen 5 system. (The plastic cup where the bar attaches to the base wasn't robust enough for our lively 16 lb cat. ) The newer base works fine with the older wheel, and that plastic area looks to be better reinforced at that stress point.

easy to assemble
My One Fast Cat wheel has survived 5 years of use by two cats. It still worked fine as far as my cat is concerned. It was noisy enough for her to use to wake me up early. The new base is quieter. No doubt she will find a way to wake me up anyway!

Great replacement part
After almost 3 years, our cat snapped a piece of the plastic base off, which disrupted my cats run and scared the the guy. So, thankfully you had a replacement part, newer & better built and it did the trick. My cat is back in walking and running business. Thanks, love it and he's so happy.
