Multimodal?
I got the sight word game excited to see what the hype was all about. I am a bit disappointed that the game itself does not have a multimodal component as I anticipated. However, I do like that the cards are coded with sound out and heart sounds which is helpful. I also like the way the learning guide and worksheets are set up. The only problem is that the words are introduced in a specific order which doesn't match the order that I need the words, so I haven't been able to use the worksheets. I wish there was an editable option for the pdf, so that I could plug in the 5 words that we are actually practicing. I have also had to pull from all the grade level decks to practice the words we need for my daughter who is in Kindergarten, but overall she enjoys playing the game and it is a fun way to switch our sight word practice up at home.
