Too tight!

I have purchased this shoe before and liked it. The version I received has a wide toe box (I have wide feet) but there are elastics holding each side of the shoe's tongue down. These made my feet hurt, so I cut them out. This didn't help as much as I thought it would; they still were incredibly tight. I can only wear them with the thinnest socks I have and my feet still hurt after wearing them for a while. I am very disappointed as the fit of this shoe seems to have changed since I last purchased it.

Love this all bird. It's my third pair and it's my favorite. Fits really well, very comfortable and doesn't need to be broken in.
