I don't know what has changed but my first Blendjet worked so well & lasted a year, until about the time they recalled them. Then I got a replacement that just stopped working after a year as well. It wouldn't blend ice and would constantly stop. Thought "third time's a charm" but that is not the case. My new Blendjet doesn't blend well & already stops alot. (Where the red light comes on) I guess because they just don't blend ice anymore. It just gets stuck. I'm disappointed but going to continue using it until it just doesn't work at all anymore. Then I will check out different brands of personal blenders.
