You just can't compare any other vanilla product to fresh, Madagascar beans. These are rich and delicious. I wouldn't cook important desserts without them.

Fantastic Vanilla Beans!!

I ordered 10 Grade A Madagascar vanilla beans, sort of as an experiment for myself. I find myself using imitation vanilla whenever I make my kids pancakes, and I occasionally buy real vanilla to make crème brûlée. I looked online for a while about making my own vanilla extract, and settled on using white rum. The only thing left was to buy vanilla beans. I was fairly surprised at the pricing, as this set of 10 beans cost less than A vial of 2 beans in the grocery store near me. When these arrived they were sealed very well, and shipped in a bubble mailer on top of that so they were in great shape. Opening these and cutting them was honestly a fun experience, the whole kitchen smelled wonderfully like vanilla the entire day. The beans even came with a sticker to label the jar I’m using to make the extract, and it looks really nice! I know it will be a while until I am able to use this - but this was such a great experience I actually ordered 2 more ounces during the next Co-Op sale on Madagascar beans. I’m making a larger, more concentrated batch of extract now. On top of this I made crème brûlée with vanilla caviar for the first time. Absolutely fantastic.

These beans are far superior to other brands I have purchased. I'll be using them in baking and also to make extract. I'm so excited.... they smell divine!
