I so badly wanted to love the Ridge wallet.
I’d seen it in videos, reviews, even one or two TV shows as far as I can recall - and it always looked like “my dream wallet.” Finally, one day while watching one of my favorite true crime channels (shoutout to my fellow CasCrim fans), I saw an offer code and decided to jump after years of wondering.
There is definitely quite a bit to like! The wallet feels *magnificent* in the hands; it’s no exaggeration to say it feels like a product worth the premium you paid, and it catches eyes in just the same way. Every time I’ve pulled my Ridge wallet out at the store, or in the drive-thru, I’ve gotten some interested looks - however, that’s also where things go wrong.
You see, it is simply NEVER as smooth and elegant to “fan” one’s cards out as it looks in the videos. One way or another, I’m fumbling for my middle cards, or I just have to pull them all out and grab the one I want.
Close, but not my dream wallet.
