2nd one!

I purchased the lidded top entry litter box in January of 2022 when I adopted a kitten. Loved it right away - very little tracking of litter outside the box, lid helps reduce odor and aesthetically it looks much better than most litter boxes. I adopted another kitten in November of 23, so I immediately purchased a second box!

Good litter and scent control. Scooping is not that easy

The good: The box looks good and the cats seem to like it. It reduces litter scents better and litter scattering better than the front-opening modkat box too. Not so good: The site video makes it look like opening the pivot lid is a one-handed operation, and the litter only needs to be sifted in the front (what a GOOD cat! Ours dump in any place in the box). In practice flipping the cat box lid to scoop requires two hands - one to press the lid clamp and one to lift the lid. And when the lid is pivoted the litter underneath the pivot, and the litter behind the pivot is hard to reach with a scoop. The angle of the lid blocks it. I have to remove the lid to get to the litter in the back of the box. All in all, the box is less convenient go clean than an open top box, but works okay to contain general poopiness. It is worth the inconvenience, but I don't think I would have paid that much if I had known about those problems.

Best litter box ever. We got a third cat so we bought a second Mod Cat box and it's worth every penny. We don't have any out of the way spaces to put our litter so we need something that keeps the litter contained and prevents bad smells. And Mod Cat also looks great. Highly recommend.
