Not recommended for puppies

I have washed this harness twice and hung dry and it’s already falling apart.

Adorable harness

I purchased the space doodle leash and harness for my dog. The sizing was perfect and I get so many compliments on how cute they are. I like being able to match the harness with the leash, because I am one of those dog moms who like to make my dog look dressed up when we go out.

The x-small might fit the 10 lbs shih tzu better than a 5 lbs-er. My 5 lbs-er has a 12" circumference now (I bought it when she was a puppy out of impulse and wishful thinking). Even at full adjustment (almosssst made it), I think I'd still need a whole size smaller, which doesn't exist. Fair, but really sad about this because it means I will never be able to partake of Lucy & Co's adorable designs and high quality harnesses. Instead of sending mine back, I regifted it. It was too awesome not to share. I deducted a two stars for not lowering the front of the neck for more compact dog frames. Even if I had this on my old shih tzu who was 10 lbs, this would have jabbed into her neck with enough pressure to have issues. Smaller dogs don't need this kind of high up coverage because they can't generate surprising amounts of force at the drop of a hat like a larger dog. They also have vulnerable throats. I ended up re-gifting this high quality harness to the right dog/home.
