Your account
Your Shop account is based on the email address that you connected to the app. You can change the email address that you have connected to Shop or connect more Gmail addresses to the app. If you stop using Shop, then you can also deactivate your account.

Change your account email address
If you want to use a different email address, then you can create a new account, and deactivate your existing account. You can also create a new account to change the phone number associated with your account.
- From the profile tab in Shop, tap Sign out, and then tap Sign out again.
- Tap Get started. You can now choose to sign in with Google, a different email address, or with Apple.
Connect more Gmail addresses to Shop
- From the profile tab in Shop, tap Add orders automatically.
- Tap Link Gmail account.
- Tap Sign in with Google, and then select another account to connect to Shop.
If you would like to remove the primary account attached to Shop, then you need to deactivate the account.
Deactivate your account
You can delete your Shop account, or you can opt out of Shop Pay and keep using Shop to track orders and follow stores. Please let us know by visiting https://shop.app/opt-out and submitting your email address. It can take up to 30 days for Shop to delete your account.
You can delete all of your saved information from the Shop Pay opt out page. When you enter your mobile phone number, your information is deleted from Shop Pay. When you enter your email address, your Shop app account is also deleted and you won’t receive delivery tracking updates for new orders.
To remove Shop from your Gmail account, follow the instructions from Google.
Account Verification Troubleshooting
If you’re having trouble verifying your account, here are some tips to help you troubleshoot:
- You can only verify Shop accounts on mobile devices. While you can manage Shop Pay settings on desktop, the Shop app is only available for download on mobile devices.
- You need enough space on your device to successfully download or update Shop. Make sure your operating system is up to date, and that you’ve got the most recent version of Shop.
- Use a stable internet connection. You might find it helpful to disconnect from your wireless network or any VPNs, and use cellular data to troubleshoot any connection issues.
